How to ace at Community Building? featuring MLSA (Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors-Program)
A few Key Impact Indicators from my end, as an observation of my little exposure regarding community building.
Key Impact Indicators
1- Establishing a club/society of your community at your college/university provides a robust foundation to your community.
2- Be insanely active over MS Teams (our official community of MLSAs is there ✨)
You should be aware of each n every initiative/plan from the program team. Also keep on posting stuff to Pakistan Channel.
3- Invite Program team, Cloud Advocates, Microsoft FTEs to your events specifically our CPM Aaron, Tracey, Sarah & probably Pablo as well. This will enhance your impact a 100x, I bet.
4- Must Must, Post all your post event stuff in respective channels, (I believe still MLSA Pakistan has one of the highest post event pics in the workshop channel.) DM CPMs regarding all the updates, happenings, issues etc so, that they may be aware of you.
5- Spur in your local community, Get your uni folks into MLSAs every coming cohort, MLSA FAST Peshawar and UET Peshawar are good examples, MUET Jamshoro as well.
6- Try to spread the word around city wise, province wise and MLSA Pakistan levels. I have seen many collabs ✨, Collabs are the key to impact.
7- There’s a famous saying Build yourself while building communities ✨ So, take this journey as a stepping stone towards your career. Ace on all the technologies you try to arrange events on — every interaction, event can be a sort of learning for you.
8- Imagine Cup is coming your way, ace it 🏆 — its the Olympics of technology hackathons. Epic Challenge is underway. ✨
9- Try your level best to engage the community, this Whatsapp space is a perfect fit, post every happening, maslay masail, Achievements etc here ✨✨✨
10- Attend program initiatives and calls, a great opportunity to build your network across the globe. Chill Ambassadors Call. Try to go out and if you have the knack to speak, put applications to speak globally, I have spoken on Microsoft Build & Ignite. Monthly EMEA Call is great to showcase what MLSA Pakistan is doing, and Aaron is a die-hard fan of us 😂. mlsa.pk website has been a great place to him ✨😊.
